This is going to be our first Christmas not actually traveling for Christmas and instead hosting people in our home! Last year we did Atlanta for Thanksgiving and Savannah for Christmas, and this year we are swapping it since I won’t be able to travel for Christmas. I’m going to miss being ‘home’ on Christmas but am also looking forward to sharing Christmas with my family in my new ‘home’. And of course for both holidays I’m going to be in the third trimester and chasing a crazy little one. Luckily I’ve been through this one year already (although with a not quite as crazy child) so I’m a little more prepared this time around.
Since we will have some little ones at our home for the Christmas holidays, I’m making little welcome goodie bags for their mama’s of things they will find useful for survival. These are all things that I’m also making sure I take with me when we travel for Thanksgiving, because we all know how much stress goes into travel.
First up is Huggies Clutch ‘N Clean Wipes. No one wants to carry a big box of wipes around whether traveling for a week or just going to a holiday party. These wipes are cute and fun, the perfect size for throwing in your diaper bag or taking as a clutch itself when at family gatherings. There’s room inside it to throw in a few diapers and some chapstick as well! These wipes are dermatologically tested and the #1 choice by moms for wipes. They are some of the only wipes that never bothered the super sensitive skin of my baby.
Chocolates – because every mom deserves to reward herself after surviving holiday functions with crazy children around.
And of course hand sanitizer. The way kids share germs blows my mind. And they aren’t normal germs – they are super mutant germs that will get all adults around very sick as well. Although it might not work it’s always useful to have hand sanitizer in stock to at least attempt to stop the spread of germs.
Traveling a ways for the holidays? Don’t forget to bring coloring supplies, some videos on the iPad, stickers, plenty of snacks, and familiar toys from home along for the ride!
That little santa outfit is precious!!
