I’m sharing #Clarifye in my life as part of a LensCrafters sponsored series for Socialstars™
“Making the decision to have a child – it is momentous. It is to decide forever to have your heart walking around outside your body.”
-Elizabeth Stone
Becoming a mother is the best thing that has ever happened to me. And I love my kids in a way I know only other mothers can understand. I want to be there with them for everything. The good, the bad. I want to remember all of our adventures and every funny and adorable little thing that they do. There are days that they drive me crazy, days that I want a break, and too often I’m so caught up in the chaos and business of our life that I don’t take time to appreciate this little moments and write them on my heart to remember forever.
And one thing is for sure, I don’t want my constantly deteriorating eyesight to get in the way of special moments with my children. I got my first pair of glasses probably about 5 years ago now when I was in law school and noticed that I had to close one eye to get through reading all those cases every night. And then it was just for reading. Over time my eyesight got worse. More squinting at the computer, and then I started not being able to see distance very well. And I never wanted to wear my glasses because they just weren’t flattering on me.
But 2 years ago I went to LensCrafters and got the first pair of glasses that I loved. A pair of tortoiseshell Burberry frames with the perfect prescription and anti-glare lens. I wore them all the time. But also over these 2 years my eyesight has gotten significantly worse, and I needed lens that allowed me to see better.
So I headed back to my nearest LensCrafters. I made an appointment for a Sunday afternoon knowing that I could sneak away for a few minutes, but not too long because of my kids. I knew that with the short time frame I was working with I needed to go to LensCrafters because their Clarifye exam makes appointments short and sweet. Clarifye is the most precise eye measurement system that takes less than 60 seconds to complete. It gives the eye doctor a starting point for figuring out your prescription and a more comprehensive understanding of your eye health. With kids fitting in things like eye appointments are really difficult so I am very thankful for anything that speeds up the process and makes it easier so that I can keep on seeing the moments with my family that I so cherish.
In less than 30 minutes after I stepped into LensCrafters I had my new prescription and was figuring out how to get new lens with that prescription put into the frames that I love so much. As far as eye doctor visits go, this one could not have gone better!
Do you wear glasses or contacts, or nothing at all?
